The shift pattern is rotational 11.25 hour shifts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Nurse Support within the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children. The post will incorporate days/nights/weekends/public holidays.

The neonatal unit is a busy level 3 50 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. You should demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of care ensuring the delivery of high-quality family centered care to neonates and their families.

This will be a permanent post. You must hold a relevant SVQ/ HNC or equivalent qualification/ skills to be considered for this post. You should possess excellent team working skills. Previous experience within a neonatal unit is desirable. Effective communication and time management skills are also required.

You must demonstrate evidence of ongoing clinical development and awareness of NHGGG policies and strategies.

The ability to organize and prioritize the workload is essential.
