Quality Assurance Analyst

Band 5

37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Regional Quality Assurance Service (RQAS), Pharmacy Services at Stobhill Hospital in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. RQAS provides quality assurance support to the manufacture of medicines and radiopharmaceuticals within units across the West of Scotland.

The post holder will be responsible for the microbiological analysis of manufactured pharmaceuticals and the analysis of media used to test products, processes and the aseptic environment in which manufacture takes place. The identification of micro-organisms reported is also a significant part of the job role and therefore the majority of the post will entail working within a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.

Another part of the post holder’s duties is to assist in the quality control testing of medical gases. Training will be provided.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice is desirable for this post but not essential.
