NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
There are two fulltime posts of 37.5 hours per week, with a shift pattern of standard office hours.
These are fixed-terms posts for a duration of 12 months.
Working closely with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and associated clerical staff, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the timely movement of cancer and potential cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. The post holder will also facilitate the collection, analysis and presentation of cancer waiting times data.
Main base is Glasgow Royal Infirmary but travel to other sites in GGC will be required.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- HNC / SVQIII in Business Administration / Information Management / Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Proficient in use of software systems, in particular Microsoft Office.
- Advanced keyboard skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in Health Care Environment
- Knowledge of computer systems in use in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde
- Medical terminology
- Knowledge of cancer and cancer referral pathways
