The opportunity has arisen to appoint a qualified Clinical Physiologist to join the Clinical Neurophysiology team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, in the role of Highly Specialised Clinical Physiologist Band 7
.
Tayside Clinical Neurophysiology is a busy department providing a comprehensive range of Neurophysiological investigations and monitoring procedures, including routine, sleep deprived and portable EEG, ambulatory monitoring, adult and paediatric video telemetry, MSLT, nerve conduction studies, as well as a range of evoked potential studies.


The service caters for a wide range of patients including neonates, ITU, paediatrics and those with mental health problems. Excellent communication skills are required to manage the diversity of patients and the complexity of information.

The successful candidate would be expected to take a lead role in inpatient video telemetry long term monitoring and home ambulatory monitoring. This post will also share responsibility for training other Clinical Physiologists and participating in teaching of medical and nursing students as well as supporting in managerial roles. They would also be responsible for overseeing the recording equipment, liaising with third party vendors and local eHealth and IT departments.  There will be an expectation to contribute to policy and procedure reviews and to the future development of Tayside Clinical Neurophysiology services.

Clinical Physiologists are actively encouraged to participate in CPD, audit and research. AHCS (ANS) membership and RCCP registration is expected.

The successful candidates should possess:

ANS (or EPTA)Part One and Two or equivalent
BSc Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent and preferably evidence of masters level study which can be modular. Have a high level experience in one or more specialised areas of Clinical Neurophysiology.
