NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 08.30-16.30 (30 hours).
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
This post is based in East Dunbartonshire CHP Offices, Balgrayhill Road, G21 3UR.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) within the SPHERE Bladder & Bowel Service.
The HCSW will run assessment clinics within the Health Centres around Glasgow. The HCSW will be required to work unsupervised. Minimum requirements are; Experience in working with adults in a health or social care setting, SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience and the ability to work with people and as part of a team, and to work alone in a clinical setting.
The HCSW should have good communication skills both written and verbal, IT skills and it is essential to have a current driving licence. Knowledge of continence is desirable and training will be provided.
