This post is based between Pollokshaws Clinic G43 1RR / Eastwood Health and care centre G76 7HN.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 Community Staff Nurse to join the Immunisation Team (schools) to deliver the national public health immunisation programmes to school aged children across NHS GGC HSCP. Our service is fundamental in taking forward the Public Health Agenda which aims to maximize the health and wellbeing of all school aged children and young people and also contributes to the reduction of health inequalities as well as achieving National and Local health objectives through the focus on preventative care.

This post is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running the immunisation sessions and crucial in the safe delivery of the school immunisation sessions. Therefore it is essential that you possess the knowledge and skills to take forward an effective and accessible service to all school aged children and young people across NHS GGC. You will provide professional nursing skills and have the ability to liaise with parents/carers and all our partners.

You must also be a First level registered nurse with evidence of further professional development is essential. These posts requires PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check.

We are looking to recruit 1 x community staff nurse to join our team and aligned to one of our four school immunisation service areas. The service model is structured across four teams where the post holder may be required to cover across the NHS GGC HSCP teams:-

Renfrew and Inverclyde Team
East Renfrewshire and South Glasgow Team
North East and East Dunbartonshire Team
North West and West Dunbartonshire Team

This posts is a permanent position contracted within an annualised hour’s contract spanning from August to April, 37.5 hours Mon to Fri from 8.30 to 16.30.
