NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is standard office hours.
This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.
Covering all hospitals in Greater Glasgow & Clyde, the post holder will be involved in the supervision, monitoring and operational management of cancer waiting times, analysing and interpreting data on an ongoing basis, and will line manage administrative staff resource relating to the cancer pathway.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Knowledge of cancer, cancer clinical pathways and cancer waiting times.
- Experience in management of administrative staff or recognised management certificate.
- Planning and organisational skills required to manage projects/wait list activity/staff cover.
- Highly developed communication and inter-personal skills, both written and verbal .
Desirable
- Knowledge of computer systems in use within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomical and physiological terms.
- Knowledge of existing data standards and definitions and forthcoming developments.
