We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Pharmacy team, as a pharmacy technician.

The post holder will have a key role in supporting the provision of a busy dispensing service for both in-patients and out-patients, including the co-ordination and supply of clozapine to patients attending the Royal Cornhill Hospital, a large psychiatric teaching hospital based in Aberdeen. In addition the post holder will be involved in the provision of effective medicines management at ward level. This will include medicines supply and supporting the senior pharmacy technician with medicines related audit and training for nursing staff.  

Applicants must be Certificated Pharmacy Technicians (i.e. hold SCOTVEC, BTEC or equivalent (SVQ 3) qualification in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council). Applicants should also be conscientious, reliable and have an interest in working within mental health services. This post also includes a commitment to rotational weekend working in the dispensary at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
