Fixed Term for 18 Months
The Senior Stoma Nurse Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing a team of stoma care nurses and support staff to deliver a quality, nurse-led specialised service that provides the physical, psychosocial, and educational requirements of patients requiring stoma formation across the pan-Lothian area. The stoma team work closely with various departments and multi-disciplinary teams throughout NHS Lothian and assist with the management of patients requiring a stoma from diagnosis, throughout their stay in hospital and beyond discharge in the form of follow-up calls and regular reviews following discharge home.
