The Post:

The Microsoft 365 Operational Delivery Group (ODG) for NHS Scotland is looking to recruit a Technical Lead to assist in supporting the delivery of the M365 Products and services.
This crucial role will support the ODG in it’s aim of a “Once for Scotland” delivery of M365 across all Scottish territorial and special Health Boards.
Working with ODG colleagues, the delivery and service teams focussed on NHSS M365, you will lead on key programmes of work including:
- Leading on the national platform technical design activities as part of national M365 delivery programme.
- Provide technical consultation to support the implementation & digital transformation of the M365 programme within NHS Scotland
- Lead on defining technical needs and solutions, ensuring this feeds into the programme/portfolio process enabling appropriate design work and roadmap prioritisation.
- Working with and oversight of supplier technical activity in the production of appropriate solutions aligned with agreed outcomes on the M365 Product roadmaps.
- Identifying technical barriers or challenges and finding workable national solutions.
- Engagement and collaboration with M365 Technical governance groups including Technical Advisory Group and Technical Design Authority.
- Collaborating with other multi-disciplinary SME’s, project delivery and service teams to ensure that roadmap technology solutions are efficient, robust, secure, compliant, and supportable.
The Candidate:
You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent, demonstrable experience.
Knowledge and experience of architecture and design of M365 product suite and the NHS Scotland wide tenant.
In addition, you should be delivery minded, curious and tenacious to drive new ways of working and technology implementation to achieve step changes in delivery capability.
You’ll be adept at delivering complex national digital solutions, breaking down barriers for your team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the detail to make things happen when needed.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working.
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
