The shift pattern for this position is Monday-Friday.
The AHP Older People’s Team are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join us on a permanent basis. Although the post is for 26.25 hrs other part time hours will be considered.
This post involves working as a specialist physiotherapist within a multi-disciplinary Older People’s team providing a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment to older adults. You will act as a skilled Older People’s Physiotherapist delivering a high quality and equitable service within an acute inpatient setting. You will contribute to the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of older people mainly over the age of 65 who present with multiple pathologies including Dementia, Movement Disorder, Parkinson’s Disease, Frailty and Falls.
The vacant post is based within the North Sector predominately within Glasgow Royal Infirmary and supporting Lightburn Hospital and Stobhill Hospital as required. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from our experienced specialist AHP team.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist, with at least 2 years’ experience in older people’s assessment and rehabilitation in an in-patient acute setting. We require the candidate to have a special interest in Older People, good core physiotherapy skills, excellent communication skills and an aptitude to learn and develop.
It is essential that you have a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
