The School of Medicine wishes to appoint an Academic Lead GCM (Generalist Clinical Mentor) to develop this key role within the novel ScotGEM (Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine) rural generalist focused MBChB programme.    


This post offers and excellent opportunity for career development to a senior educator with academic career intentions.  


Suitable candidates should be a practising clinician with extensive experience in clinical education at UG or PG level as well as a scholarly/research track record.   


The salary will be on the consultant scale with honorary consultant status available via NHS Fife where clinical sessions in primary or secondary care may be available if required.  


Beyond the usual expectations of a senior clinical educator the successful candidate will have a passion for generalism and community based medical education, ideally in a rural context.
