ADULT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICE

BAND 5 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (rotational post)

ACUTE, ABERDEEN CITY, ABERDEENSHIRE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PARTNERSHIP

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our exciting and varied rotation. This post provides the opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Services. New OT graduates are welcome to apply.

Rotations may include Elderly Assessment and Rehabilitation, Medical, Elective and Trauma Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke and Stroke Rehabilitation, Community Hospitals, CAARS Community Rehabilitation, Oncology, Vascular, Hospital at home  and the Frailty Pathway. The rotational period is normally 6 months in each service area.

The post will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Grampian.

Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision, in-service training programme and access to Band 5 Support Group.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8000 may be available for successful candidate
