NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday day shifts.
There are two full time (37.5 hours) positions within this post and one part time (23.1 hours). (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses trained in general nursing or adult nursing of the NMC Register to join our enthusiastic and innovative team within the QEUH Unscheduled Care Team as Clinical Call Handlers. This role receives GP calls into the Immediate Assessment Unit. We require an experienced First Level Registered Nurse trained in General Nursing who is looking for a challenge and the unique opportunity to be part of the evolving role of Unscheduled Care.
You should have considerable post registration experience with relevant experience working as a band 5 in an Acute Secondary care setting and have appropriate degree or equivalent experience with well-developed communication and IT skills.
