An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Medical Equipment Management Service at Saint John’s Hospital, Livingston, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, conscientious and technically capable individual able to join a team providing medical equipment management services within NHS Lothian.  Based at Saint John’s Hospital, you will provide technical support as part of a team carrying out service and repair work on a wide range of medical devices.

You will be qualified to SCQF level 8, or higher, in an electrical / electronic discipline, or have equivalent training and experience. We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team to ensure the day-to-day running of the service. This post is a permanent position and may involve, travelling and working at various hospitals and community sites within Lothian.

With a clear focus on quality and patient services, you will join an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team providing an equipment management service for a wide range of medical equipment. You will work in support of many clinical specialities delivering world class healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community. You will be self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team to ensure the day-to-day running of the service. Good interpersonal skills are essential as is a flexible and methodical approach.
