Super Spotlight - Bladder and Bowel Nurse Team Exciting opportunities are available to join the Bladder and Bowel Nurse Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialised team who are passionate in promoting bladder and bowel health. Our goal is to improve on the symptoms the individual is experiencing, enabling an improvement in health and wellbeing. The Bladder and Bowel Nurse Team (BBNT) is a small nurse led service, comprising of nurses who have specialised knowledge in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of adult bladder and bowel dysfunction. The team play a vital role in not only assessing patients but providing advice and support to a wide range of health professionals, patients, family members and carers. Education in formal settings is provided by the Nurse Specialist, however you will assist in providing training to voluntary organisations in the community and other minority groups. You will be able to travel throughout Lothian and have experience of working in a variety of clinical settings. Experience of working in the community setting is desirable. What We Can Offer You We have two full time position 37.5 hours per week available based at Astley Ainslie Hospital. You will be able to work independently Monday to Friday in clinic settings and home visits. Areas covered are Edinburgh, Midlothian and east Lothian . You will be working Monday to Friday only - no weekend working or unsocial hours. Our hours are from 08:00 to 16:00. We currently do not work public holidays. A car driver is required with a current driving licence. Salary

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
