The shift pattern for this position varies.

There are 2 positions available, 1 full time and 1 for 20 hours.  

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

You will be responsible for driving vehicles up to 3.5tonnes in the transport of goods, supplies and patients throughout NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. A wide variety of shift patterns will be available over 7 days/week.  This role will include collection of clinical and domestic waste as part of our on-site transport service.

Duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Laundry / Specimen / Clinical  Waste/ Stores/mail/medical records collection and distribution
  • Site security checks
  • Escort duties
  • Follow work schedules as instructed
  • Report any faults to supervisor
  • Use equipment only as instructed
  • Work in a safe manner and give consideration to others around you
  • Ensure all statutory and Divisional procedures are followed
