The shift pattern is Monday - Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse or AHP to work within the Moving and Handling Team. The post holder should have a desire to work in an education role and would be most suitable for a nurse or AHP who is experienced with patient handling practice and the process of competency assessment.
The post holder will work as a key member of the existing Moving and Handling Team and will be responsible for delivering training and provision of expert advice to all NHS GG&C employees and managers at a time of growth and development.
The role will also involve advising staff and managers on a range of moving and handling enquiries including equipment and complex patient handling assessments. The post holder will be involved in adverse event reviews and ensuring organisational compliance with all legal duties in relation to manual handling practice.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive and enthusiastic approach. You should have excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and as part of the wider team. Demonstrating adaptability to the diverse and variable demands upon our service is essential as is experience of delivering moving and handling training, ideally within the healthcare setting.
