Chief Executive

Salary - Grade F - £101,379 - £134,214

Borders Health Board and its partner organisations manage an intriguing mix of remote, rural and urban health & care services.

Much loved as a region to move and retire to, the beautiful, vibrant & history-rich Scottish Borders has a higher proportion of older people than the Scottish average. This presents some unique challenges. Sustainable service/workforce planning and innovation has to be at the heart of all we do.

We have an ambitious agenda around the need to modernise services and to achieve high standards of patient safety, staff wellbeing and sound financial governance.

We are seeking a driven Chief Executive who shares our aims and values around compassionate leadership, reducing inequality and effective governance of the system.

This is a demanding role with a high level of public scrutiny and accountability. It requires a collaborative and resilient individual, with exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills, combined with relevant professional experience.

The right person for this role will be politically astute, with an unswerving commitment to delivering high quality public services. They will have the personal qualities to inspire trust and confidence in all stakeholders. They will also have a track record of delivering transformational change across complex organisational boundaries, and will demonstrate a strong focus on whole system integrated working.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Sarah Gracie at sarah.gracie@edenscott.com  or call 07999 421314.

Applications in the form of a CV and Statement in Support, to Sarah Gracie sarah.gracie@edenscott.com and 07999 421 314

All applications will be acknowledged and treated in the strictest of confidence
