An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our CAMHS Pathway. The post holder will work in a multi-disciplinary team supporting the assessment and treatment of children and young people with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
We work with children and young people aged 0-18 across Aberdeen City and Shire. We work closely with families/carers and other professionals/agencies such as education and Social Work. Excellent communication, engagement skills and effective time management are required for this role.
An interest in child development, neurodevelopmental conditions, intellectual disability, mental health and risk assessment is essential. The post holder will have experience in health assessment and be able to evidence how these skills can be transferable within this role. A willingness to co-facilitate psychoeducation groups to patients and families is essential.
We are a passionate, evolving and dynamic service who are committed to learning and development. The post holder will be provided with training from the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be invited to attend local, regional and national training/support/CPD.
We are an outpatient service and we are open Monday – Friday however flexible working days/hours can be negotiated. The post holder will be required to work on-site at CAMHS (City Hospital) with the option of a hybrid model of also working from home where appropriate.
The post holder will be required to travel at times, such as for school observations, multi-agency meetings and home visits. A driver’s license is essential for the role and an on-site pool car is available.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
