NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are looking for a

CONSULTANT PATHOLOGIST who has, or is willing to develop, special interests  on GI pathology, Dermatopathology, Head and neck pathology, and Breast pathology.  

These replacement posts, based at the Laboratory Medicine Building within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus, will have shared responsibility with 44 consultant colleagues for the provision of specialist diagnostic pathology services. 

We are one of the largest single site Pathology services in the UK, receiving 100,000 requests annually.  We are committed to innovation including transition to full digitisation of histopathology services as part of the iCAIRD Centre for Digital Diagnostics.  The department is based in a modern laboratory building (2012) and provides local, regional and some national services.  We are co-located and work closely with Molecular Diagnostics for the provision of integrated reporting. An interest in teaching/research is encouraged.
