An opportunity has arisen for Transport Drivers to join our busy Transport Department within the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy on a bank basis.

The hours of work will be worked in line with the needs of the service, days worked are predominantly between Monday & Friday, however we do provide a limited service at the weekends.

You will be trained in all transport driving duties such as Labs, Pharmacy, Stores, Patient Transport, Shuttle Bus service and Clinical Waste collections etc.

Drivers can be lone workers, driving throughout Fife (and surrounding area i.e. Edinburgh & Dundee) on a daily basis, routes can also be repetitive. Vehicles range from cars, vans, minibuses and 3.5 tonne Luton vehicles.

You will be based within the service yard at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy however there may be a requirement to work within any other hospital site if required.

Physical and manual handing element to post due to transporting items, cages, clinical waste bins, and Labs & Pharmacy boxes.

You are required to have good communication skills, and ability to follow route mapping and timed schedules.

A clean, full UK driving licence is required.

Full training, and one to one coaching supplied, including attendance at mandatory training

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
