An opportunity has arisen at NHS Education for Scotland (NES) for Dental Vocational Training Adviser to devise and coordinate a Dental Vocational Training educational programme in Scotland.
The successful candidate will work as part of a national team of Vocational Training Advisers and will have responsibility for a Dental Vocational Training Scheme. The post will be equivalent to 3 sessions (12 hours) per week.
BDS or equivalent is a requirement of the post along with registration and good standing with the GDC. Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to clinical dentistry in general practice. The successful candidates will be expected to have extensive experience of general practice management, be able to demonstrate relevant and current knowledge of Vocational Training, to be engaged in extensive activities relating to Postgraduate Education and CPD and have teaching or training experience. The post holders will be able to demonstrate flexibility, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, plus an enthusiastic and ethical approach.
The post will be based at Glasgow Dental Education Centre with travel throughout Scotland required due to the nature of National working.
