NHS Grampian are delighted to welcome applications for the above posts, to be based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). The posts are for a period of twelve months. The appointees will join a team of Consultants and Specialist Doctors in ARI and will have links to wider NHS Grampian and National Services. This post will augment the existing HPB Cancer Consultant workforce and may include assessment and surgical management of HPB cancer patients.


The General Surgery team at ARI comprises 20 Consultant General Surgeons who work across 3 specialty teams. The department spans 4 inpatient wards, one of which is emergency focused and hosts the Surgical Ambulatory Clinic. There is a specialty managed Surgical HDU within the site, and the service has access to the Combined Short Stay Unit.


We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and forward thinking individuals to join our dynamic team. Applicants should have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team and have an understanding of and willingness to participate in improvement and redesign.
