NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a part-time role of 26.25 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 3.5 days over 7.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team within the Community Dietetic Service as 0.7wte (26.25hrs) Band 6 Learning Disabilities Dietitian in South Clyde Community .
The successful applicant will join a friendly and enthusiastic community dietetic team in the South Clyde quadrant of NHS GG&C. They will have a key role in :
- planning and providing an evidence based Dietetic Service to people with learning disabilities, carers, medical, nursing and AHP staff. The dietitian will work in partnership with other professionals to provide a specialist dietetic service to referred clients and their carers in their own homes, supported accommodation, resource centres and clinics appropriate to their needs.
- supervising, teaching, mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic support workers and clerical staff.
- planning and delivery education and training for health care professionals. This training covers detailed, broad ranging topical nutritional issues covering the entire life cycle.
A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration and drivers license is essential.
