There are two part time roles available for this post both 18 hours.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
The NHS GGC Tissue Viability Services are recruiting for two 0.5 wte Band 7 Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist.
The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge and experience in wound care and the ability to provide expert advice on the prevention and treatment of wounds of differing aetiologies and the prevention and management of pressure ulcers. The post holder will also require the ability to promote excellence in wound care and wound care education whilst continually working towards developing the Tissue Viability Services in NHS GGC.
The ability to manage own workload, work autonomously and have excellent communication and leadership skills are required in order to liaise with may multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers. Previous experience at advanced practice level will be an advantage. Core professional training to degree level or equivalent will be required.
One post is for Acute Services, this post also includes leave cover for the Paediatric TVN (training will be given) therefore travel across all Acute sites is required. The other post is for community and travel across the Board Community area is required.
A full current driving license and use of own car for work purposes are essential requirements of this role.
