RELIEF PORTER

Post: Relief Porter

Main Location: Inverurie Hospital Aberdeenshire (will also be required to travel to, and cover areas as listed below.

Salary: Band 2

Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week 0800-1330 Monday to Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief porter to work between our hospital sites located in Aberdeenshire North which would include areas of Buckie, Banff, Turriff, Huntly and Inverurie, and on occasion there may be a requirement to assist other hospital sites within the NHS Grampian region, so flexibility is required.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Transferring patients between various areas of the hospital

• Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment

• Transporting clinical waste and dangerous materials

• Delivering patient notes

You should be physically fit. Applicants must hold a full clean manual UK driving licence. A good command of oral and written English is essential for this role. Please note successful candidates will undergo a PVG check.

Full training will be provided.
