Band 6 Specialist Radiographer  MRI-CT
Clinical Research Imaging Facility (CRIF)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Radiographer for the MRI-CT service in the Clinical Research Imaging Facility (CRIF).  Experience in CT imaging is essential. The successful applicant must be keen to work in a small dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in a research environment and be part of a multidisciplinary facility.

Applicants must hold an appropriate diagnostic radiography qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

You will be employed by NHS Tayside.

The CRIF is a University of Dundee specialist facility staffed and equipped to support the delivery of high quality research and the NHS clinical service. The state of the art imaging equipment includes a 3T MRI scanner, a new installed 256 slice state-of the art CT scanner, and the recent addition of the MR-guided Focussed Ultrasound which will develop our research potential, particularly in relation to image guided therapies.

Hours:  37 per week.  Consideration will be given to full or part time position.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
