The Audiology department is seeking to recruit to a new post in our administrative team. This team cover a wide ranging and varied administrative workload required to support audiology to ensure safe and efficient running of the department. The role provides comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently, working in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Ideal candidates will have excellent customer service skills, a professional and positive approach to completing daily duties and operational needs for day to day administration, dealing with incoming calls, emails and face to face requests for our patient group, other health professionals and third party sectors.

You should have relevant experience working in administration.  You must have good oral and written communication and customer care skills and have the ability to communicate well on the telephone.

You will work alongside professionals from Audiology and will provide admin support to other services within Kings Cross Health & Community Care Centre.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
