We are looking to recruit a pharmacy technician to provide operational and professional leadership to our expanding General Practice Pharmacy Technician team in Tayside. The General Practice Pharmacy Technician role involves working alongside clinical pharmacists and pharmacy support staff in a range of environments including GP practices, care homes, community hospitals and patients own homes with an emphasis on high quality patient centred pharmaceutical care.
The postholder will work alongside the HSCP Lead Pharmacists and contribute to the strategic and operational planning of the whole General Practice Clinical Pharmacy Service to ensure an integrated high quality level of service provision.
The applicant must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain (GPhC). Experience of primary care is desirable.

Hours of work are: 37 hours over 7 days. Part time applicants will be considered.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
