The shift pattern is 09.00-17.00.

This post is based in the Plastic Surgery Out-Patient's Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We care for patients who have underwent reconstructive surgery for skin cancer, breast cancer and traumatic injuries.

The Plastic Surgery Unit covers the West of Scotland. The department offers Consultant clinics as well as Nurse Led Clinics. One of the main roles is providing wound care for the patients group we care for. This is an extended HCSW role. B3 HCSW in the department support the service by undertaking wound dressings under the supervision of Registered Nurses. A competency programme is offered to support staff to gain the necessary knowledge and skills.

Within the service, is a multi-disciplinary team with medical staff, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists and specialist nurses.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00.
