Physiotherapy - Children and Young People – NHS Lothian

We are looking for a creative, innovative physiotherapist to join our MSK team. This is an exciting time for our MSK service and this role will be integral in shaping the service going forward. There is opportunity to work alongside orthopaedic colleagues to develop pathways to improve service delivery. In addition, there is scope to work alongside MSK colleagues working in adult services to support transition.

You will join a team who deliver inpatient and outpatient MSK services to children and young people up to 16 years. This post is based within the outpatient setting, receiving requests for assistance from a range of healthcare professionals as well as directly from the families.  We are looking for a physiotherapist with relevant MSK clinical experience as well as experience of service improvement using quality improvement methodology. The age of the population we see means that experience working with children and young people in healthcare settings is beneficial but not essential. This post would suit someone who is interested in developing ways to support early intervention and prevention in MSK health to improve health outcomes in the long term. As a service we support and encourage continuing professional development and encourage all staff to use the pillars of practice to guide their life-long learning.

We would encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch as you may find this is the post you have been looking for!

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
