An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work to join our team of nurses within the Cardiology Department and in particular within Coronary Care. You should have a commitment to cardiology, patient centred care and supporting effective team working.
Staff joining our team will have the opportunity for funded professional development at either degree or masters level.
We are looking for an innovative individual to work as part of the nursing team. Interested candidates must have a willingness to develop their skills within the cardiology specialty. Ideally you should have previous post registration experience and preferably within the acute setting.
There is an opportunity to enhance skills by participating in the cardiology rotation. Coronary care work exceptionally close with the cardiac cath lab, successful candidates will also work within this setting.
You must be registered on either Part 1 or 12 of the UK NMC Register.

Hours of work are: 37 hrs per week.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
