DOMESTIC ASSISTANT
Western Isles Hospital
Band 2 - £23,362 to £25,368 pro rata
Plus £1,279 Distant Island Allowance pro rata
19.80 hrs per week
Monday to Friday (hrs include 9am to 1pm)
A vacancy has arisen for a Domestic Assistant, within the Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, HS1 2AF.
The postholder will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning duties, as per the National Cleaning Services Specification.
Good communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.
The successful candidate will need to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full time employment or up to six months for part time workers. For further information see www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
