An opportunity has arisen to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Department of Cellular Pathology.

The duties include the entry of patient data into the laboratory information management system, audio typing of macroscopic and microscopic descriptions for Histopathology and Diagnostic Cytology reports. The preparation of documentation and other general office duties e.g. taking of minutes, dealing with telephone enquiries and filing etc.

Candidates are required to be flexible, have clerical / administration experience, be a competent audio typist with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel and have an understanding of medical terminology. A HNC/SVQ 3 or equivalent and a level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively are required, as is the ability to perform under pressure.
