There are two positions available for this post, one full time (37 hours) and one part time (14.8 hours).

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

Your main base will be within the state of the art Laboratory Medicine Building at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The Biochemistry Department is one of the largest, busiest and most diverse in the UK. The department is well equipped with modern pre-analytical, analytical and IT systems. You will perform a number of healthcare science technical/scientific activities and will provide technical & analytical support to registered Biomedical & Clinical Scientists.

It is essential that you have an HND in Biomedical Science or an equivalent qualification or an SVQ 3 / HNC plus suitable relevant experience as a Healthcare Science Support worker with a commitment to study for and gain an HND in Biomedical Science. You should have excellent communication skills with an ability to work both as part of a team & on your own initiative.

There are two permanent posts available for this role, one full time (37 hours per week) working Monday- Friday and one part time (14.8 hours/week) working a Thursday and Friday.
