An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Stroke Team in Glasgow, based within the North East Sector Offices, in the grounds of Stobhill Hospital.
Candidates require stroke experience, desirable in an acute, rehabilitation, and community setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and supervisor/ educator experience.
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate motivation, commitment and passion for promoting health and well-being for stroke patients through the provision of patient-centred care across their stroke recovery pathway.
This post will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to work autonomously to manage their clinical caseload in the delivery of a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy service, and to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
The multi-disciplinary team includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Stroke Nurse Specialist, Assistant Practitioner, alongside Stroke Clinical Psychology. We aim to offer a high quality multi-disciplinary team approach to providing stroke rehabilitation in our patient’s homes, focused around the achievement of agreed rehabilitation goals.
We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and motivated stroke specialist Speech and Language Therapist who is able to manage complex cases and situations and is able to adapt to working in different environments.
