Ward 46 is a 20 bedded unit, with a combination of short stay medical beds and head injury beds. The unit has a varied patient group and is an opportunity for a registered nurse to obtain skills in many aspects of medical nursing, as well as specialising in care of head injury patients in their acute phase. To work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group. Competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.
