An opportunity exists for an individual to join a nursing team within the NHS Tayside Hospital at Night (HAN) Service.
Using advanced clinical knowledge and skills, our Advanced Nurse Practitioners work effectively as senior members of the Hospital at Night service to deliver high quality and clinically effective person centred care.
You should be a registered nurse who brings with them a broad range of knowledge and skills and extensive experience from across a number of specialties. Applicants should understand and have demonstrable knowledge of the demands of working within an acute environment.
The successful delivery of safe, effective and efficient person centred care relies on our Advanced Nurse Practitioners having transformational leadership qualities, being resilient, being flexible to change, working closely as part of a multidisciplinary team and valuing all members of the Hospital at Night service.
Individuals who meet the full requirements of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner will commence on Band 7. Applicants who are interested in following the Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner pathway will commence on a percentage of Band 7 depending on level of experience and education requirement in line with Annex 21 Arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees (see Paragraph 2 ii). On successful completion of academic and clinical requirements and attainment of PG Diploma in Advanced practice you will be transferred to full Band 7 banding.

Hours of work are: 34.10hrs per week (Day/Night duties)
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
