The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM), Older People’s Mental Health, has professional leadership and managerial responsibility for older people’s inpatient and some community services. The post has overall responsibility for clinical, financial and staff governance within defined Mental Health areas and is a key member of the Mental Health management team.
The CNM participates in the development of clinically and financially effective older people’s mental health in-patient and community services, enabling all opportunities for person centred care to be realised, ensuring key service objectives are achieved in line with national and local policies.
The CNM will be responsible for participating and leading in the development of services in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders across health, social care and 3rd sector organisations to meet the needs of the client group
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Mental Health Services in West Lothian. The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) - Older Peoples’ Mental Health is a key member of the Mental Health Management Team in the West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership. The post has professional leadership and managerial responsibility for older peoples’ inpatient and community services. The post has responsibility for clinical, financial and staff governance issues within defined Mental Health areas.
The CNM participates in the development of clinically effective patient care for the areas of responsibility ensuring key service objectives are achieved in line with national and local policies.
The CNM will be responsible for participating and leading in the development of services in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders across health, social care and 3rd sector organisations to meet the needs of the patient group.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
