The shift pattern is 08.00-18.00 4 days per week.

Applications from 2024 Newly Qualified Nurse/Midwife, will not be considered for this post.
The successful applicant will be a skilled member of the Endoscopy team, providing the highest standard of specialist patient care without direct supervision. You will be responsible for assessing, plan, implement and evaluate care and follow standards/protocols in order to give a quality service to patients.
Knowledge, Training and Experienced Required:
- Registered nurse
AND/OR
- Educated to Diploma/ Degree level or working towards.
Plus
- A keen interest in learning and developing Specialist knowledge and skills in Endoscopy both clinical and technical (instrumentation/equipment).
- Must undertake and complete successfully both Generic and Specific endoscopy competencies including signed assessments and action plans
- Must continue to develop both personally and professionally and provide evidence in the form of study days, short/long courses, self-study which must include:-
- Completion of or working towards accredited course in a specialist perioperative area of practice i.e.
- GI Endoscopy for Nurses (GIN) Programme
- Completion of Venepuncture/ IV Cannulation Course
- Develop knowledge of all relevant Professional Codes of Practice, Government Legislation/Guidelines, Local and National Nursing policies and procedures both for clinical practice and professional issues to use personally. This knowledge will be gained through attending study days, professional updates and on the job experience.
- Show an interest in research, audit and evidence based practice to be aware of how best practice and standards are being applied within own area.
- Must have good organisational and planning skills.
- Gain knowledge of administration processes required for day to day operation of own area such as pharmacy indents, endoscopy monitoring forms, audit forms etc. This will be gained from on the job experience and study day attendance to comply with department protocols and evaluate and improve patient care.
- Evidence of developing both personally and professionally including completion of annual Personal Development Plan.
