ICASS (Integrated Community Assessment & Support Service) has the overall aim of improving the quality of care and outcomes for older people with the intention of allowing them to remain independent within their own homes or communities.


Staff Nurses work effectively as members of the Hospital at Home Team ensuring the delivery of high quality, clinically effective care, utilising high level clinical skills and knowledge to maintain patient safety within the community.

We are seeking Bank Staff Nurses to join the established Hospital at Home service for Community services.  The post will be to support colleagues and capacity within the Fife Wide Service at bases Queen Margaret Hospital, Whytemans Brae Hospital and Adamson Hospital. You should be a registered nurse with relevant experience; demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, as well as having clinical skills including venepuncture, ECG, IV additives and cannulation.   Please refer to the job description and person specification for more detail.

You will have good communication skills and have a flexible attitude to work. The ability to travel within the area in a timely manner is essential.  You will be required to deliver a high standard of safe and effective acute medical patient care within patient’s homes and must have the ability to recognise the deteriorating patient and have the ability to work autonomously in this evolving service.  

The service is open 7 days a week with working shifts covering the period from 08.00 – 22.00 hours.

Potential staff are encouraged to shadow at one or more bases to gain an understanding of how the Hospital at Home service operates.
