Post Title:  Clinical / Counselling Psychologist, Psychological Interventions in Psychosis Service (AMH Psychology)
Location:  Stratheden Hospital, Cupar or Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline
Salary/Banding: 8a

Hours: 30 hours across - Monday to Friday 9-5

Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.

We have a vacancy for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to assume a key role within a small team of psychologists. We are looking for someone with initiative who will join us in taking a lead role in ongoing evidence-based service redesign and development to best meet the needs of our patients. You will have an interest in working with complex psychological problems including psychosis and challenging behaviours, within a multidisciplinary team.
The Psychological Interventions in Psychosis (PIP) Service is led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and provides a range of interventions in Fife-wide inpatient and outpatient settings across the spectrum of psychotic conditions.  You will have access to regular clinical and managerial supervision as well as opportunities for additional peer support.

This is an opportunity to join a large area-wide Psychology service that includes all the major clinical specialties.  The Service is friendly, research-active, and maintains a vigorous CPD programme.  It has well-established links with the Universities of Edinburgh, Stirling and Dundee, providing placements for DClinPsychol trainees and trainees doing a range of clinically-based Masters programmes.

For informal enquiries please contact Dr Melissa Hanna, Principal Clinical Psychologist, on telephone number 01334 696336 or melissa.hanna@nhs.scot

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
