The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 08.30-16.30.
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with a passion for developing their career within the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy speciality, to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
We provide specialist in-patient services to both Obstetrics and Gynaecology wards. This includes health education and promotion, post-operative advice, rehabilitation assessments and discharge planning. The physiotherapist in this role will also employ specialist knowledge to manage a case load of highly complex out-patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, as well as ante and post-natal patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. The physiotherapy service also delivers education in the form of ante-natal classes, pelvic gridle pain classes, Care of your Body Classes and Enhanced Recovery for Obstetric Surgery in Scotland (EROSS) classes. We also provide clinical placements for university students.
You must have a proven record of excellent clinical, communication and time management skills and an ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team. It is essential you have a Degree in Physiotherapy and are HCPC registered. The successful candidate, will be expected to work between the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the West Maternity Care Centre as part of their role and be comfortable provided ward weekend cover when required.
