Job Advert

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is 08:00 – 16:00.

The post(s) requires applicant(s) to be time served with a plumbing bias, with the necessary qualifications and/or experience described in the attached Job Description.

It would be desirable to have a level of knowledge, understanding and experience of complex plumbing systems in large healthcare premises, however this is not essential. This includes a good understanding of water quality and controls, combined heat & power (CHP) plant, drainage systems, and temperature monitoring.

The successful applicant(s) will also have responsibilities to assist with training and education of apprentices and adult trainees ensuring they gain the necessary training and experience to meet the needs of their training program. This will also include some work with managers to identify and set up the training programs. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to participate in an On-Call rota.
