Cyber Security Operations Analyst

The security services and technology provided by NSS Digital and Security (DaS) are critical operational components, used 24/7 365 days a year.
The Post:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Cyber Security Operation Team and work with us on developing and operating our national security service. You’ll help us detect, triage, and respond to security threats using a variety of tools like:
• Security Information Event Management (SIEM) systems
• Vulnerability management and scanning tools
• Threat intelligence sharing platforms
• Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Defender XDR, and security dashboards
You’ll gain experience of incident handling, security tooling deployment/management, and related communications, working with key stakeholders both within NHS Scotland and externally such as Local Authorities, Scottish Government, NHS partners across the UK and NCSC.
The Candidate:
You should be educated to degree level or have demonstrable academic achievements in the field of information and cyber security with evidence of continuing professional development.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Location and Working Pattern:
NHS Scotland Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (CCoE) is physically located within the Cyber Quarter at Abertay University, Dundee, where staff can benefit from hybrid working.
The work pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
