Are you passionate about delivering the best care for patients and their medicines?

NHS Fife has an opportunity for outstanding candidates to join our clinical pharmacy team as Specialist Pharmacists – we currently have two posts available: one in the Surgery/Cancer rotational programme and one in the Medicine/Community health rotational programme.

The Surgery / Cancer Programme includes: Orthopaedics & Pain, Surgery and Pain, Rheumatology and Cancer Care/Aseptics with each rotation spanning a nine month period.  You will join an established team consisting of an Advanced Pharmacist for Critical Care, Senior Pharmacists in Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Aseptic Services and Cancer.

The Medicine / Community Health Programme includes: Cardiology, Admissions and Elderly Care / Hospital at Home.   You will join an established team consisting of Senior Pharmacists in Endocrine/Ambulatory Care, Gastroenterology, Renal Medicine and Dermatology.

Each team (Medicine, Surgery, Cancer and Community Health) is led by a Lead Pharmacist.

The clinical pharmacy service at NHS Fife is constantly evolving and innovating to provide the best care for our patients and experience for our staff. We have received great feedback on working together, supporting our trainees and students as well as being considered a crucial component of the MDT.

These posts will be patient-centred and will give you the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and undertake specialist projects within your area. There will also be opportunities to develop leadership skills and deputise for Senior Pharmacists within your rotations.
You will receive support from a designated mentor (in each speciality), and the wider pharmacy team, as well as peer support from other Specialist and Senior Pharmacists.  You will be supported to complete further post graduate studies and develop their career in line with advanced practice frameworks.
