FIXED TERM CLINICAL FELLOW IN PLASTIC SURGERY (CT LEVEL)
Applications are invited for the above post based at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain further experience in Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery in preparation for ST applications.
The post is available from 7th August 2024 for 6-12 months.
The successful candidate will join a team of five other Clinical Fellows/Core Trainees, seven Specialty Registrars and ten Consultant Plastic Surgeons. Although this post is not formally recognised for training, the role will broadly follow Core trainee format and depending on experience, bridge between rotating CTs and Specialty Registrars. The post offers opportunities across a broad spectrum of plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery. Particular department strengths include skin oncology, hand surgery and hand trauma, microsurgical breast plus lower limb reconstruction and a wide range of general plastic surgery.
Candidates need to have passed MRCS Parts A &B (or equivalent) and ideally have completed Core surgical training with a minimum 12 months of experience in Plastic and Hand surgery at Core Trainee or equivalent junior specialist level.
