Pharmacy Procurement Officer

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Band 5 £30,229 -£37,664
An opportunity has arisen for a well-organised and enthusiastic individual to join our Pharmacy team, as a Pharmacy Procurement Officer.
Your role in the Pharmacy team will be to provide a cost effective, efficient, medicines and pharmaceutical products procurement service to NHS Grampian. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing is the most economical for the organisation by utilising National Services Scotland contracts. Other duties include investigating and sourcing alternative products as a result of manufacturing difficulties or other supply problems and processing pharmacy invoices for payment.
The successful candidate will need to have at least 2 years previous experience of working in a procurement role and be educated to a higher grade level, ideally with a procurement qualification. Experience of working in an NHS environment including NHS purchasing procedures and policies is desirable. Knowledge of pharmaceutical products is an advantage but not essential.
