Senior Project Manager Value & Sustainability - 37 hours per week, Fixed-Term Until October 2025
Band 7 (£46,244 - £53,789) Per-annum
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Project Manager for the Value and Sustainability Programme, based within the Planning, Innovation and Programmes (PIP) Directorate, NHS Grampian. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in a project management role including evidence of successfully leading and delivering projects. You will be able to demonstrate highly developed leadership, communication, interpersonal, organisational and influencing skills.
NHSG are especially keen to hear from project managers experienced in managing projects using recognised, structured project management methods, such as PRINCE2 or other similar industry standards.
The PIP Directorate leads the development of strategy and implements programmes of activity and redesign in line with our ‘Plan for the Future’ strategy across NHS Grampian and our wider health and social care system.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to join our team for a secondment or fixed term contract til Oct 2025. You will be an integral part of a supportive and dynamic Programme Team tasked to lead, develop, manage and provide assurance on specific projects as part of the wider Value and Sustainability Programme which is a key priority for NHS Grampian. This programme will deliver efficiencies across a number of areas, focussing on maximising the non-financial benefits relating to the ‘Plan for the Future’ whilst enabling delivery of agreed financial efficiencies.
This post will take the lead on Sustainable Nursing Workforce Project – working with the Senior Responsible Officer this role will provide dedicated project oversight and management focussing on progressing a sustainable workforce model. The individual will work with key stakeholders to develop and project manage the agreed plan and work streams, resulting in measurable outcomes such as increased job satisfaction, increase in recruitment and retention to substantive roles thus reducing reliance on supplementary staffing, increasing the pathways of entry to nursing opportunities and supporting specific teams around issues relating to the project.
The post is full-time and based in Summerfield House, Aberdeen – in line with the organisation’s hybrid working model, part of the time will be spent working from home. The working model will be agreed with the line manager and may flex in line with service demands. The post holder will report to the Programme Lead for the Value and Sustainability Programme and work closely with the Senior Responsible Officers aligned to the specific projects.
